In the United States Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. Polish people usually associate this day with eating turkey… but what is Thanksgiving really about for our American friends?

In my family, Thanksgiving is all about family! We spend the entire day eating TONS of food and just sharing laughs with the people we love. There’s always plenty of turkey, potatoes, and pumpkin pie! Thanksgiving is a day full of lots of love and lots of great food!

This Thanksgiving was a little different for my family! Since we moved to California we don’t live close to either of my grandparents or my any of my aunts and uncles, so we had to cook the Thanksgiving meal by ourselves. But it was fun learning how to make everything even though it was a lot of work! We made a turkey, potatoes, green bean casserole, a bread dish called stuffing, a pudding dessert called Watergate, and squash! And you can’t forget the pumpkin pie!
