Day Camp 2016: Sunday

Maggie Herring

I have called you by name, you are mine! The teams have successfully made the journey from the United States to Poland! After a long day of flights and transfers, we can all look back and say “wow, what a day!”. We had a couple minor hiccups during our travels, but within those hiccups we formed an even stronger bond within the team. It’s so incredible how God does that! He works all situations to rely on Him, as He gives us each other. What a blessing to watch this team rise to action and grow so close in our journey. Both teams gathered today (after a beautiful night of rest) to meet with the Polish counselors and get to know each other, as well as prepare for the kids to arrive tomorrow. It was said today that coming to Poland is like seeing an extended family each year. Team members that are here for their first time have even been welcomed like family. What a blessing it has been to grow these relationships over the past ten years. During a devotion in Jastrzebie, everyone received a leather bracelet that has Isaiah 43:1 engraved into it and holds as a reminder for us all as to why we are here.
