Day Camp 2015: Tuesday morning

Our first day of Day Camp in Jastrzebie is in the books – complete! There were lots of tired, but happy faces yesterday evening and a feeling of satisfaction that it was a job well done.
The lawn was a busy place in the afternoon and the groups took turns playing games before going inside for crafts. Matt did a great job planning lots of activities that burned energy and helped us get to know kids in different classes.
Linda and our Polish counselors did another awesome job of having the crafts well-organized. How we made it through the afternoon with no painted handprints on a wall somewhere is a miracle!
The day ended for the campers back in chapel with some songs and closing thoughts. After dinner, the weather was beautiful so the younger set took advantage of it and played games outside in the evening. Some of us enjoyed the chance to visit with some of the counselors. Around 8:00 we broke into 4 groups and went inside for some lively games of charades and family feud; the competition was fierce. Thank you, Tomek and Zaba, for working so hard to put these together! They really helped us get to know each other better and were great fun!
Hoping that everyone rested well last night. We are looking forward to Day #2!
