We are halfway through Day 1 of Day Camp in Jastrzebie – whew! It came and went so fast! The US counselors just met for a quick devotion and spent some time talking about our morning.
The consensus is we have smart kids in our classes! For the most part, they know more at their current level than we anticipated. We are anxious to be able to prepare for tomorrow – knowing what we know now!
Allie was prepared to cover the numbers 1 thru 12 today and the kids told her they could count to 1000! Being quick on their feet, she and Carley adjusted and were able to challenge the kids more as they worked on telling time. Flexibility still reigns as the most important skill on a mission team!
Time for games and crafts now. We all look forward to getting to know our kids more as the day progesses! Thank you, God, for giving us this time with them!
