Greetings from Jastrzebie!
My name is Linda (Poland kids call me LEEEnda) Schroeder. I am honored to be here for the second time. My job is organizing crafts for the 7 groups. Since I can move around I have the luxury of interacting with all the students and counselors. Blessings, blessings all around me! Let me tell you about blessings. When I take a moment and think about our team I am AMAZED at the talent, knowledge, patience, determination, kindness, goodness, friendship and most of all, sharing the love of Jesus. We all have friends, from family members to childhood schoolmates, neighbors and co-workers. My friends, I’m here to tell you there is not a friend as sweet and pure as a friend made through the common bond of Jesus’ work. I love, love, love these brothers and sisters! It makes me tear up when I try to express the love in my heart. I am overflowing! The polish counselors go out of their way to help you, translate for you, hug you and just plain love you. The children come every morning with such energy and anticipation that it makes us remember, ah, this is why we are here. We look around while they sing songs in church with their hands held high singing, “YOU’RE powerful, YOU’RE un-shakeable” and we think, ah, this is why we are here. We look up at the altar and see the giant cross and say, ah, I know why we are here.

Thank you Lord for the help we prayed for; the team you gave us and the door to Jastrzebie’s Jesus’ Church.
