Day Two

DAY 2! It is always a relthief to finish DAY 2….Because by now you feel a little better about what it is that you are doing in your classroom. It takes awhile to get your grip on what your classroom should look like and how it should function. BUT really at the end of the day we all agreed today at devos….the kids are just wanting to be near you and connect with you. We worry far too much about the details, specifics, and expectations that we place on ourselves. This mission trip….like every other mission trip, is all about RELATIONSHIPS…..brothers and sisters in Christ. This is truly what we feel like at the close of each day….we really do feel like we have a family on the other side of the ocean. For this is how we are treated! It is the indescribable closeness that takes place in the classroom, playing outside, making crafts, eating meals, and praising God together in HIS house! I am not sure how God designs this to be given all the language barriers, but it is. And it truly is more than words can write or describe. But God is reminding us here again, that HE is calling us all into “FAMILY”….family in our churches, family in our homes, family in our neighborhoods, family in our workplace, family in our schools….FAMILIES that take care of one another through the LOVE of JESUS CHRIST! Thank you to all of our families that are sharing a family member, for we know that your family unit is not complete this week. But please know that your sacrifice is making a difference for the Kingdom of GOD as HIS family is working together to sow seeds of God’s love!
