Matt. 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
Did you see the light? Could you see the skies bursting with rays of love, grace, hope, and peace?
Now that we are home from Poland, we have a chance to look back on what God did through Day Camp at Jesus Church. And we still feel like we are glowing! We are still coming off of the mountaintop experience that God had graciously prepared for all who came. The 8 days of partnering in ministry with you were some of the most glorious days we will ever experience this side of heaven.
There were so many moments when God showed up to reveal Himself to us. So many moments where HE caught our attention….where we could just feel His Almighty hand and overwhelming love. Sure we had some minor turbulence from time to time….but that makes the dwelling of God even more special and full of grace! We can’t thank the members of Jesus Church enough for their gracious hands and feet. God was dwelling in our midst….through all of you! Your servant heart and outreach toward your community, to the next generation, and to the USA team, is a beautiful outpouring of what GOD has called you to be: a city on a hill. You are shining a great light in the darkness. You are an extension of HIS love…a picture of who HE IS….His hands and feet. Thanks be to GOD that HE called you into such action…and that you responded with a “YES!” A beacon where abundant life is found…. A place where HIS GLORY dwells!
We have heard now about the healing springs of Jastrzebie-Zdroj. We actually saw the history of it all set inside one of the bath houses that once flowed with those springs. We were told that those springs have now stopped flowing and have since dried up. But we would contend that this is not true. Jastrzebie- Zdroj…..you still have abundant flowing spring water! And it is flowing deep within your city walls. It is the LIFE-GIVING water from the SPRINGS of Heaven. Jesus Christ is dwelling in your midst with LIVING water. We witnessed those healing waters flow through your children, youth, and adults all week long. The living springs poured over both Polish and American teams and united us as ONE in HIM. These waters, through the gift of the Holy Spirit, filled us with a wealth of energy, love, forgiveness, and compassion. WE were all ignited in His Spirit for the purpose that God had set into motion…..to share HIS LOVE and dwell in HIS GLORY!
The thing about this LIVING WATER is that it won’t stop flowing….and it never will. We praise God in thanksgiving as HE continues to flood your church and community with the LIVING SPRINGS of HIS abundant love, mercy, and grace. May you be blessed as HE continues to pour over you these LIFE-GIVING…HEALING……waters! May you continue to open the floodgates….letting them flow from your church, down the hillsides of Jastrzebie-Zdroj, into the hearts and homes of the people. So, with eager anticipation we look forward to being with you again in years to come for future Day Camps!! And we also hold close to the knowledge that one day we will all be united again with HIM in the abundant rivers of heaven….in His eternal kingdom. May HE guard and keep us all until that day! Thanks be to GOD that HE is using you ALL to carry out the mission of HIS church in Poland!
